Our house in Mittendorf in the municipality Kirnitzschtal is an ideal starting point for walking, climbing and bike tours in the Saxonian and Bohemian Switzerland. Hiking trails starting near our house lead to the Kirnitzschtal, the Lichtenhainer waterfall, to the Kuhstall, the Schrammsteine and the Affensteine. In Saxon Switzerland the hotel Albrechtshof is a good choice for a well and cheap vacation, celebrating or recovering in the calm nature. Very well suited for groups of all kinds. Situated in its own forest park on a light hill in the air health resort Gohrisch the atmosphere is calm and recreative. Königstein and Bad Schandau are both only 3km away. The next larger places are Pirna and Dresden. Use the advantages of Saxon Switzerland with its wonderful look-outs, over 1200 km signposted hiking trails and over 120 sights of baroque which can be seen on a steamboat trip. Or you follow the traces of historical Dresden with its rebuild Church of Our Lady, or get inspired by visiting a performance in the Semper opera or one of the many attractive museums. Of course the modern Dresden is really quite worth a visit as well.
