Our lately renovated and comfortably furnished mansion Zeissig offers 5 double rooms and 2 vacation homes with balcony. Lain conveniently in calm location, you can experience unique nature, expanded hikes and the romantic mountain world. You can reach us simply by car on the autobahn A17 (exit Pirna – follow hotel route red A to Rathen) and then into direction Neustadt crossing Lohmen, Rathewalde and finally in Waltersdorf turn right down to Rathen. The place is car-free, but for guests with car we have our own parking lot below the house (therefore stop at the prohibition sign).

Almost 150 years ago, the "Lichtenhainer Wasserfall" was already one of the earliest famous features of the Sächsische Schweiz (Saxon Switzerland) and was the setting-off point for the first hikers who wandered on the "tourist paths" through this unique, beautiful region. The guesthouse, built in Swiss style in 1852, was, until the beginning of the 20th century, annexed to a chair-lift, pack-animal and guide´s station, so tha, to avoid the "terrible strain" of an ascent to the cow-shed, you could let yourself be carried up in the chair-lift by 2 carriers.

Our rooms have shower/WC/TV, partly balcony and the apartment roof terrace. Approx. only 8 minutes walking to the Elbe wheer are the piers and rapid-transit railway connection. The art city Dresden can be reached in 35 minutes and the health resort Bad Schandau just after two stops. Bohemian Switzerland can also be approached comfortably with this railway line.
