Well-known destinations for hikings and excursions, such as the historical Kirnitzschtalbahn railway running to the Lichtenhainer waterfall and the spa town Bad Schandau, or the Schrammsteine rock formation and the mountain Großer Winterberg can all be easily reached by foot.

Our house in Mittendorf in the municipality Kirnitzschtal is an ideal starting point for walking, climbing and bike tours in the Saxonian and Bohemian Switzerland. Hiking trails starting near our house lead to the Kirnitzschtal, the Lichtenhainer waterfall, to the Kuhstall, the Schrammsteine and the Affensteine.
